Library Assistant – Dorothy Scott Osceola Memorial Library

Call me Ceece, I’m a native of the Bahamas, married with 4 adult sons and 2 granddaughters. As a certified Florida State Child Birth and Parenting Educator it is so very satisfying to work in a library which has so many young patrons.  Interacting with the Preschool children at our frequent story times is a joy. And assisting children develop their reading skills is particularly gratifying with the after school crowd.

My goal is to encourage a love for books, and build comprehension skills for children. I am excited to be part of providing enjoyable enrichment and educational sources for tribal adults and desirable reading materials for all tribal members. In our recent “Baby and Me” classes, launched together with the tribe’s CCDT program, moms can learn about developmental milestones, nurturing parenting skills, infant massage and weekly topics of interest. I love the fact that the library has something for everyone.
