Dolores Lopez

Library Assistant

My name is Dolores Lopez (AKA Dee). I’m the mother of four fantastic tribal members. I recently purchased a new home which kept me quite busy and really excited at the same time.
I have been working for the DYM Library since 2013. I work with children of all ages and assist adults with choosing books that they need or will read for enjoyment. My biggest and most enjoyable part of my job is interacting with the children. Every month I pick out activates that match that month’s celebration. I find the children are learning cultural differences each month with these directed activities. One day a week I have story time for approximately twenty preschoolers.

It is fun to see the light in their eyes when they have enjoyed the reading. We also have board games, arts & crafts and movie day. All this information is available on the calendar I plan and follow very closely each month.
