Kerlande Patterson

 Tribal Professional Development (WEP/SWEP)

My name is Kerlande.

I am the Coordinator of the Tribal Development Program, commonly known as Work Experience Program (WEP) and Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP). For the past ten years, I have been working in education and the nonprofit sector at various capacities.  My professional experiences range from early childhood education, parenting education and family counseling, personal and professional development, to mentoring young adults.

For the past year, it has been my pleasure to assist Tribal members in exploring their career ambitions. I look forward to continuing to serve the Seminole Tribe of Florida community.
I get really excited about books, inspirational quotes, personal development, and organic Haitian food.
Quote I live by:  “Don’t be a bystander in your own life.”

The biggest joy in my life, after marriage, a year later was greeting my twin boys. The responsibility of caring for them and molding them into adulthood was overwhelming as well as awesome. More Info
