Brighton Education Department’s K-12 Advisor Assistant

My name is Nancy Jimmie. I am the Brighton Education Department’s K-12 Advisor Assistant. After graduating from Okeechobee High School, I attended Indian River State College where I received my Associates of Arts degree. I am currently on a journey to gain my bachelor’s degree in business.

For many years I worked as a paraprofessional at Pemayetv Emahakv Charter School on the Brighton Reservation. While there I enjoyed assisting the head teacher in daily duties while getting to know all the students. I have always said once a student came through my classroom I felt as though they were one of my own.

As an advisor assistant I hope to be able to effectively assist my advisors so they can focus on the student’s needs. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the beach.
