Tahnese Flournoy
Academic & Career Advisor
I am very excited and grateful to be working for the Seminole Tribe of Florida at the Center for Student Success and Services Department. I am passionate about helping individuals find a meaningful career that will not only impact their lives; but also their families.
For the past 14 years, I have been working in higher education. I have worked in various roles such as Academic/Career Advisor, Reading Lab Assistant and Adjunct Professor teaching Introduction to Student Life Skills and Social Welfare.
I am also certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator which allows me an opportunity to provide students with the best practices on career readiness skills; as well as tools to help students decide upon a career pathway. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with my Bachelor’s in Social Work. Shortly thereafter, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University.
My hobbies are reading and volunteering.
My favorite quote is “A change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things” -Barack Obama
So, let’s be extraordinary in every aspect of our lives!
I look forward to meeting you and your families.
